We were asked to read the following passages: “Transmissions from Camp Trans” “Dark Webs Goth Subcultures in Cyberspace” “The Truck Stop as Community and Culture” and last but not least “House for the Homeless”.
Transmissions From Camp Trans:
The Claim- In this particular passage it explains how women should partake in the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival, weather if they are in to each other, or transgender.

Dark Webs Goth Subculture in Cyberspace:
The Claim- Even though Goths seem wierd to others that are outside of their culture, they are just like everyone else that use the internet. They are interested in some of the same things as others are.

The Truck Stop as Community and Culture:
The Claim- Truckers, or people that drive trucks have their own little community or district, i guess you can say that. Because in iowa, they have there own beauty shop and many things of that nature.
The Style- Toulmin
House for the Homeless:
The Claim- Now to me homelessness is real huge issue for me. Not everyone was on drugs or anything like that, many of them just fell on hard times, and not everyone that is homeless, just begs. Their are some that really do want to change, but some people just dont want to help them.
